The Financial Aid Office administers federal, state, and University aid, such as grants, student loans, and work‐study awards.

To apply for financial aid, you must submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) each academic year online at http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/

 

The aid year runs from Fall to Summer 

Example: Fall 2013->Spring 2014->Summer 2014

 

You can view your financial aid package and accept or decline your aid in your UCDAccess Student Center

 

Financial aid packages are based on full‐time enrollment, which is 5 or more credits at the graduate level

Some aid may be available to half‐time students, but this will depend on your individual package.

 

You will need to contact Financial Aid directly for all financial aid questions, including when you:

• Have financial aid questions specific to your situation and/or financial aid package

• Plan to register for less than 5 credits

• Receive any outside scholarships or grants

• Change your residency for tuition purposes

• Experience special circumstances such as unusual expenses or changes in income
